Where it all started for Mr. Six and me. Miami University. Oxford, Ohio. This is the entrance gate, leading to the slant walk, which eventually leads to Dodds Hall, which is where fate took over.
Mike's belated Christmas gift: tickets to see our Miami hockey team (#1 in the CCHA baby!) vs. Ohio State. $10 bought us awesome seats and a game that went into overtime, and then into a shootout. Sadly, Miami lost in the shootout, but it was an awesome evening.
I had the pleasure of attending a tweetup with several sportswriters in town for the NFL Combine. It was fascinating for the football geek in me. I especially loved meeting the one and only Peter King, a writer for Sports Illustrated and the genius behind the weekly "Monday Morning Quarterback" column. He loves football, beer and Starbucks, and therefore I love him.
Any clue what kind of hawk this might be? I pulled over to take the picture because at first glance I thought it was an owl. I'm guessing red-tailed hawk, but I didn't think they normally sported such bright feathers.
